This 80-hour course provides law enforcement officers with the knowledge and skills needed, to conduct an initial assessment at each and every crash they encounter. It is the first of three, 80-hour courses, for those who wish to become crash reconstructionists. Unless collected, recorded and preserved at the time of a crash, valuable evidence can be lost forever. Despite the fact that over their careers, officers will investigate more motor vehicle crashes than perhaps any other situation involving personal injury and property damage, very little training is typically provided. This course includes many topics, such as:
