As a new supervisor, you have to understand that not everyone is going to be as excited as you are about your promotion.  Those that may not be happy can be your peers, those subordinates below you or managers above you and they may be eagerly waiting to hear of your weaknesses.  They may even be consciously undermining you in hopes that you will resign your position and it will become open again.  It’s a tough battle that all supervisors face at every new, higher level of responsibility.  Some succeed and some don’t.

This 8-hour course provides sworn and non-sworn public safety personnel with insights and strategies for the newly promoted Supervisor. Transitioning from friends in the workplace to the Administrative side is not always the easiest transition.  This course shows you how to make the transition easier, and stay true to yourself, your profession, and how to effectively LEAD your new subordinates.
