The complexity of a serious crash scene requires specialized training far beyond that of the first responder. Everything, from the location and collection of physical evidence to statements from eye witnesses is challengeable in court. But, perhaps nothing more so in recent years has brought in the validity of photographs or the integrity of officers as that of digital photography. The ability to manipulate photographs is consistently raised as a “reasonable suspicion.”

At a crash scene you may only have one chance to get it right, because when you clear, you usually don’t have a chance to go back. Good or bad, the photographs you leave with, become evidence.

This 2-day, 1-night workshop is designed to introduce law enforcement officers to the practice of creating highly accurate and professionally replicated crash scene photographs for future courtroom presentations using digital photographs. You will find that in this course, our teaching format will be approximately 20% classroom lecture and 80% hands-on. Why? Because the more you have an opportunity to actually use a camera in a class and in the field, the more you will know when you get the call.
